Comedic icon George Carlin died of heart failure in a Santa Monica Health Center.

Carlin’s seven words you can never say on t-v routine earned the comedian national attention.

The routine resulted in the 1978 Supreme Court ruling of upholding government bans on certain language.

Carlin is a four time Grammy winner for best comedy album.

He was nominated for five Emmy awards.

George Carlin was 71.
